Server statuses explained

Dash shows a status on every row of the servers list and on each server's own page. An order that is not a server yet has its own statuses, listed first, and shows the plan name instead of a hostname. Domains use different statuses, described in Domain statuses explained.

Order: Waiting for payment

The order's invoice is unpaid, so no server has been created. Select View Invoice on the row, or open the invoice from Billing, and pay it.

Order: Payment processing

A payment was submitted and is being confirmed. No action is needed. The row clears when the payment settles.

Order: Expired

The order was not paid in time. It no longer becomes a server, and the row has no action. Place a new order if you still want the server.

Order: Cancelled

The order was cancelled before it was paid. It no longer becomes a server, and the row has no action.

Pending

The server is paid for and queued for setup. No action is needed. The Billing column reads Waiting for activation until the server is ready.

In progress

Setup is running. No action is needed. The Billing column reads Waiting for activation.

Active

The server is running and can be managed from its Management tab. The Billing column reads Renew on and the next renewal date. Select View details to open the server.

Suspended

The server is suspended and can't be managed. This happens when a renewal invoice is unpaid after its due date, or when our team suspends the service. The Billing column reads Suspended at and the date it was suspended.

Open the server with View details. Its page shows the date the server is scheduled for termination, under the status. If an invoice is owed, the Overview tab has a View invoice link to it. Pay that invoice before the termination date to keep the server. For the timings, see Billing and lifecycle.

Terminated

The server has ended and is no longer available. The Billing column reads Ended on and the end date. View details still opens its page, but the management controls are gone. If it was terminated recently because its renewal wasn't paid, we may be able to reactivate it: see Reactivate a recently terminated server. Otherwise, order a new server if you need a replacement.

Waiting for payment

We agreed to reactivate a server that was terminated recently, and its reactivation invoice is waiting to be paid. The Billing column reads Waiting for payment. Open the server with View details: the Reactivation card on its Overview tab shows the deadline and a Pay invoice button. Paid in time, the server is Active again. If not, it stays Terminated. See Reactivate a recently terminated server.

Cancelled

Our team ended the service. The Billing column reads Ended on and the end date. There is nothing to pay or manage. Contact support if you did not expect this.

Unknown

Dash could not read the server's status. Refresh the page, and contact support with the service ID if it does not change.
