Buying a Dedicated Server

Order a Dedicated Server from Quick Buy in Dash: filter the server list by region and hardware, select Configure Server on the machine you want, choose its location and operating system, and pay. Our team then sets up the physical server, and it appears in Servers as Pending until it's ready.

Where to start​

  • In Dash: select Dedicated Server under Quick Buy at the top of Dash. On a smaller screen, open the Quick Buy button at the bottom of the page. You need to be signed in.
  • On perlod.com: start from a server on perlod.com/dedicated-server-hosting. You can configure it before signing in. Dash asks you to sign in or sign up when you select Review and continue, and keeps your choices.

Find a server​

Each card in the list is a specific server model. It shows the processor, Cores / Threads, Frequency, RAM, Storage, Port, Bandwidth, an estimated Delivery time where there is one, and the locations where it's offered.

Narrow the list with the filters at the top. Only filters with a choice to make are shown.

  • Region: countries, grouped by continent.
  • Hardware: processor brand (Intel or AMD), sockets, storage type (NVMe, SSD, or HDD), RAID (hardware or software), uplink speed, and ranges for cores, memory, and storage size.
  • Use Cases: workloads the servers are suited to.

Use the Monthly / Annually switch to compare prices. A card that shows Sold Out or Not available to order can't be ordered right now.

Configure the server​

  1. Select Configure Server on the server you want.
  2. Location: pick a region, then a location. The location also selects the version of this server offered there, and any location surcharge appears in the order summary. See perlod.com/locations for what's offered where.
  3. Operating system: pick an image. The list appears after you choose a location.
  4. Network: choose a Traffic option, and an Additional public IP if the server offers one.
  5. Managed support: one plan is always selected. A plan marked Contact sales can't be added here. Continue with a plan you can select and open a ticket about it.
  6. Check the summary, Your server. It shows the hardware, your choices, any one-time setup fee, the total, and the Billing period. If the server has an estimated delivery time, it's shown there too.
  7. Select Review and continue.

Review and pay​

  1. On the review step, check the details. To change anything, use Back to configuration or your browser's Back button.
  2. Add a promo code if you have one, and confirm the billing period.
  3. Select Continue to payment, choose a payment method, and pay.

After payment​

You land on Payment received. Select Go to invoice or Go to my servers.

The server appears in Servers as Pending while our team sets up the hardware. The status moves to In progress and then to Active. Once it's Active, open it with View details to find its IP addresses and controls. See Managing Dedicated Server in Dash.

Partial payment does not activate the service

If a crypto payment settles for less than the full amount, the invoice becomes Partially paid and the server is not set up yet. Pay the remaining balance from the invoice to move it forward.
