Domain overview
A domain is the name people use to reach your website or service. PerLod registers new domains and accepts transfers from other registrars. After purchase, you manage the domain's registration from its page in Dash.
What you manage in Dash
- WHOIS information: the registrant contact the registry holds for the domain.
- Nameservers: point the domain at PerLod DNS, or at up to four nameservers of your own.
- Protection: transfer lock, WHOIS privacy, and the EPP code for moving the domain away.
- DNSSEC: publish or remove the DS records for a signed zone.
- Child nameservers: glue records for nameservers hosted under the domain.
- Renewal: auto-renew and automatic payment.
Management is available only while the domain is Active or Expiring soon. A domain renews only when its renewal invoice is paid, so keeping auto-renew and automatic payment on is the simplest way not to lose it.
